From what I have heard about China, and uh take this with a grain of salt because I heard this from Mainlanders former roomate + her friend, China vendors know they can usually charge a foreigner more because they don't generally know that haggling is accepted and expected. So yeah, you haggling the price down was probably something they're not all that used to from someone who is very distinctly a foreigner.

Good job on getting the price down though! I have on idea if I would have been able to ;; I'm really awful at negotiating prices. And since I sound like a foreigner they'd know immediately HAHA.

Also Terracotta soldiers. One of the things I actually do want to see in person one day. Maybe a trip to China is in order, one day.
